Assist the DRPM MIB Supply Engagement Director by engaging with suppliers related to supplier risk, capacity constraints, and resiliency solutions.
Assist a senior technical supply chain subject matter expert in engaging with suppliers within the maritime industrial base on industrial supply chain efficiency and capacity.
Conduct rough-cut capacity planning and Operational Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) assessments to evaluate supplier throughput and readiness.
Lead production floor diagnostics to identify key bottlenecks including workforce constraints, equipment downtime, quality issues, and process inefficiencies.
Recommend targeted solutions such as equipment upgrades, workforce training, or process redesigns to increase throughput and mitigate risks to Navy program delivery schedules.
Develop and validate standardized templates, process flows, and best practices to enable alignment across the MIB Supply Chain Directorate and Lines of Effort (LOEs).
Translate complex data into executive-level briefs and reports for ASN RDA, NAVSEA, and PEO leadership.
Partner with industry, academia, and government stakeholders to identify emerging risks and define investment priorities (Supplier Development Funding, SCM initiatives, workforce development).
Contribute thought leadership to align investments with 1+2 production goals (1 Columbia + 2 Virginia submarines annually) and critical surface ship requirements.
Interface with MIB suppliers to understand capacity and production difficulties.
Provide daily program, analytical, and acquisition management support to senior level executives.
Work with multiple stakeholders across the region to expedite evaluation, determine critical areas, and assess funding for MIB efforts.
Collaborate with a distributed MIB team focused on workforce development/marketing, supply chain/sustainment, and technology developments.
Evaluate projects and initiatives including capital projects, curriculum development, marketing campaigns, and veteran outreach.
Draft information papers in response to Congressional inquiries and provide input to Report to Congress regarding MIB spend and ROI.
Travel regionally to meet with local stakeholders about workforce initiatives.
Requirements
U.S. Citizenship.
The ability to obtain a Secret clearance.
A Bachelors Degree in business, supply chain, logistics, education, science, or an engineering discipline
Knowledge of developing manufacturing programs such as additive manufacturing, Industry 4.0 and other advanced manufacturing techniques.
Experience conducting Data analysis and presenting results.
Outstanding communication skills, both written and oral.
Customer-oriented team player focused on mission who is self-motivated and driven who can work independently and remotely.
Ability to travel up to 25% of the time.
Additional desired: Experience/knowledge of the submarine/maritime industrial base.
