Key responsibilities & impact

Communicate with policyholders and claims associates about litigation progress
Handle a full caseload from minimal to highly complex matters
Conduct pleadings, motion practice, and discovery
Prepare for trial with minimal oversight

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree and Juris Doctor Degree
7+ years of related work experience
Licensed attorney in at least one state
Experience in insurance defense litigation
Experience taking/defending depositions
Experience in court appearances
Experience handling dispositive motions
Experience retaining expert witnesses
Trial experience as first chair or solo trial counsel
Valid license to practice law in Texas
Proven ability to handle conflict and controversy
Ability to self-manage with minimal oversight
Bilingual preferred
