About the role
- The General Manager functions as the primary strategic business leader of the property. Direct responsibility for the property’s P&L, financial performance, sales and revenue generation and delivering a return on investment to ownership.
- Develop and implement property-wide strategies, scale and oversee our new home share program, employ cost-control and revenue improvement programs, and develop annual operating budgets and sales and marketing plans.
- Motivate, supervise and train the onsite team; maintain strong communication and empowerment; participate in daily meetings to uphold operational efficiencies.
- Build relationships with residents, guests, owners, and community partners; respond to resident and guest questions and concerns in a timely manner.
- Create and implement leasing goals and manage lease expiration programs, renewal programs, retention and follow-ups; show, lease, and move in prospective residents.
- Analyze operational information and financial statements; prepare owner's reports; evaluate rent/pricing strategies and market conditions.
- Oversee property condition, maintenance, home share turns, common area cleaning, service requests, preventative maintenance; ensure safety programs are followed.
- Create staffing schedules, manage recruitment, training, and development; ensure compliance with company and legal regulations; perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent experience required; some college preferred
- A minimum of three years of experience in luxury residential property management or hotels
- Proven leadership experience required
- Must possess strong attention to detail and sales ability
- Knowledgeable about OSHA laws and regulations
- Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills
- Computer literate with capability in PMS software, MS Office and related communication tools
- Must possess a positive attitude and the ability to smile under all circumstances
- Willingness to participate in training in order to comply with new or existing laws
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends
- Demonstrated ability to diffuse and respond to customer concerns to avoid escalation of the problem
