About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead the design of low-voltage and ICT systems for commercial and institutional projects.
- Create client-specific solutions spanning structured cabling, wireless, data centers, AV, and physical security systems.
- Develop design documentation (AutoCAD/Revit), cost estimates, and specifications from concept through construction.
- Collaborate closely with architects, MEP teams, and clients.
- Lead requirements discussions, review submittals, and support construction through site visits and coordination meetings.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Minimum of five years of consulting experience in the design and specification of ICT systems and spaces, security systems, and audiovisual systems.
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical field is desired but not required; equivalent industry experience will be considered.
- Detailed design development, bid/permit, and construction drawings and written specifications utilizing AutoCAD and Revit.
- Detail-oriented with excellent written communication and verbal presentation skills.
- Ability to manage projects independently as well as collaborate with team members on larger projects.
- BICSI Certification (active RCDD or test-ready) or CTS certification are preferred.
- Ability to leverage existing industry relationships with architects, project managers, and MEP engineering firms to develop new business opportunities.
- The candidate must have a car, as this position requires travel between locations and the transportation of equipment.
- A valid driver’s license and proof of vehicle insurance will be required.
- Legally authorized to work in the US without sponsorship.
- Must demonstrate a “can-do” attitude.
