About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support the client's network infrastructure as a Network Administrator.
  • Manage cybersecurity advisories, vulnerabilities, and remediation activities.
  • Troubleshoot complex network environments and conduct cybersecurity remediation.
  • Work on Fortinet networking and security products including firewalls, switches, and analyzers.
  • Engage in network design, implementation, and maintenance activities.
  • Collaborate with various teams to ensure network security best practices are followed.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience supporting Fortinet networking and security products.
  • Strong experience with FortiGate firewalls, FortiSwitch, FortiAnalyzer, and related Fortinet technologies.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience managing cybersecurity advisories, vulnerabilities, and remediation activities.
  • Advanced understanding of networking protocols, routing, switching, wireless technologies, and network security best practices.
  • Experience with network design, implementation, and troubleshooting.
  • Knowledge of disaster recovery, incident response, and business continuity planning.
  • Previous experience working within local government, municipal, or public sector environments would be preferred.
  • Strong documentation and communication skills.
  • Occasional after-hours support will be required for maintenance windows, upgrades, and emergency issues.
  • The candidate must have a car, as this position requires travel between location and the transportation of equipment.
  • A valid driver’s license and proof of vehicle insurance will be required.
  • Legally authorized to work in the US without sponsorship.
  • Must demonstrate a “can-do” attitude.
