About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support the client's network infrastructure as a Network Administrator.
- Manage cybersecurity advisories, vulnerabilities, and remediation activities.
- Troubleshoot complex network environments and conduct cybersecurity remediation.
- Work on Fortinet networking and security products including firewalls, switches, and analyzers.
- Engage in network design, implementation, and maintenance activities.
- Collaborate with various teams to ensure network security best practices are followed.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience supporting Fortinet networking and security products.
- Strong experience with FortiGate firewalls, FortiSwitch, FortiAnalyzer, and related Fortinet technologies.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience managing cybersecurity advisories, vulnerabilities, and remediation activities.
- Advanced understanding of networking protocols, routing, switching, wireless technologies, and network security best practices.
- Experience with network design, implementation, and troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of disaster recovery, incident response, and business continuity planning.
- Previous experience working within local government, municipal, or public sector environments would be preferred.
- Strong documentation and communication skills.
- Occasional after-hours support will be required for maintenance windows, upgrades, and emergency issues.
- The candidate must have a car, as this position requires travel between location and the transportation of equipment.
- A valid driver’s license and proof of vehicle insurance will be required.
- Legally authorized to work in the US without sponsorship.
- Must demonstrate a “can-do” attitude.
