About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Develop and maintain professional relationships with Sentinel’s client base
  • Lead the client experience through proactive outreach, timely responses, expert advice, and advocacy for assigned clients
  • Hold regular client meetings and manage service-level agreements
  • Respond to direct client inquiries and help manage general plan operations
  • Manage escalated client and participant issues through the Sentinel ticket system
  • Use problem-solving and critical-thinking skills to address non-routine inquiries and issues
  • Leverage Sentinel’s tools and data to help clients develop strategies for employee benefits education and selection
  • Identify innovative ways to meet client needs and improve existing processes
  • Collaborate with colleagues and other business units to drive results
  • Manage and exceed client expectations

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 3–5 years of client service, account management, or related experience in the financial or benefits services industry
  • Ability to obtain Section 125 Cafeteria Plan certification within one year of hire
  • Ability to communicate with clients to problem-solve and create a positive experience
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision
  • Ability to work well with people from different disciplines and varying levels of technical and industry experience
  • Experience servicing multiple clients promptly and accurately
  • Desire for continuous learning and ability to utilize resources to gather information
  • Willingness to take on new clients, projects, and responsibilities
  • Team-oriented attitude and ability to work effectively with internal colleagues
  • Ability to manage time effectively to meet deadlines and client expectations
  • Motivation to streamline processes and improve efficiencies
  • Familiarity with managing reimbursement accounts (FSA, HRA, HSA) is a nice-to-have
