About the role

  • About Sentient: We are building an open-source platform for Artificial General Intelligence (AGI) that empowers developers, creators, and communities to build, align, and own Loyal AI. Role Overview: Seeking a Strategic Finance and Operations professional to scale operations, report to a cofounder, collaborate cross-functionally with leadership in product, business development, and operations to evaluate new initiatives, manage financial planning, and ensure execution. Responsibilities: Build financial models for commercial partnerships, token economics, and new AI product initiatives; prepare internal memos, board materials, analyze KPIs and propose optimizations; oversee outsourced accounting, maintain forecast models, assist budgeting, coordinate treasury operations across multi-signature wallets, on-chain and off-chain accounts; partner on entity structuring, capital flows, payment processes; manage fund disbursements, grants, governance protocols; identify improvements to financial and operational systems; evaluate financial viability and commercial risks of AI and blockchain products; act as bridge between Finance, Product, Business Ops, and GTM teams to solve complex problems.

Requirements

  • 2–5 years of experience in investment banking, strategic finance, corporate development, venture finance, startup operations, or a related field. Strong financial modeling skills (advanced Excel/Google Sheets proficiency required; experience with Python or data science tools a plus). Deep interest in and understanding of blockchain, AI, and financial products, including economics, tokenomics, risk management, and treasury operations. Proven ability to handle novel, cross-functional challenges with a "roll-up-your-sleeves" attitude, delivering results in lean, iterative environments. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to juggle tactical execution and strategic thinking. Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a quantitative field; advanced degrees or certifications (e.g., CFA) are a plus.
