About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support accurate inventory valuation, ensuring that stock is properly recorded and valued
  • Perform variance analysis (actual vs. standard costs) and support explanation of key differences
  • Assist in maintaining standard costs and ensuring they reflect operational reality
  • Prepare and maintain manufacturing cost reporting, including component-level analysis
  • Support the annual budgeting process in collaboration with Finance and operational teams
  • Help analyze variances between actual results, budget, and forecast
  • Track project costs, budgets, and forecasts
  • Assist in financial planning activities related to projects
  • Support the identification of opportunities to improve and automate processes
  • Support internal and external audit processes
  • Contribute to inventory depreciation and warranty provision assessments

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Controlling
  • 2–5 years of experience in controlling or finance, ideally in a manufacturing environment
  • Initial experience with Bills of Materials (BOMs) and standard costing methodologies is a strong advantage
  • Strong analytical skills; experience with financial analysis or modeling is a plus
  • Experience with ERP systems (experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central is a strong advantage) and reporting tools
  • Fluency in English required; German is an advantage
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Good understanding of manufacturing environments and cost structures (e.g. BOMs, standard costs is a plus)
  • Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with production, sourcing, and finance teams
  • Structured and detail-oriented way of working
  • Proactive mindset with a willingness to learn and contribute to process improvements
  • Good communication skills, with the ability to explain financial topics to non-finance stakeholders
