About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support accurate inventory valuation, ensuring that stock is properly recorded and valued
- Perform variance analysis (actual vs. standard costs) and support explanation of key differences
- Assist in maintaining standard costs and ensuring they reflect operational reality
- Prepare and maintain manufacturing cost reporting, including component-level analysis
- Support the annual budgeting process in collaboration with Finance and operational teams
- Help analyze variances between actual results, budget, and forecast
- Track project costs, budgets, and forecasts
- Assist in financial planning activities related to projects
- Support the identification of opportunities to improve and automate processes
- Support internal and external audit processes
- Contribute to inventory depreciation and warranty provision assessments
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Controlling
- 2–5 years of experience in controlling or finance, ideally in a manufacturing environment
- Initial experience with Bills of Materials (BOMs) and standard costing methodologies is a strong advantage
- Strong analytical skills; experience with financial analysis or modeling is a plus
- Experience with ERP systems (experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central is a strong advantage) and reporting tools
- Fluency in English required; German is an advantage
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Good understanding of manufacturing environments and cost structures (e.g. BOMs, standard costs is a plus)
- Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with production, sourcing, and finance teams
- Structured and detail-oriented way of working
- Proactive mindset with a willingness to learn and contribute to process improvements
- Good communication skills, with the ability to explain financial topics to non-finance stakeholders
