About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Perform a competent level of nursing care using the nursing process
- Assess, diagnose, identify outcomes, plan, implement, coordinate care, teach, promote health, and evaluate patient care
- Apply professional performance standards including ethics, communication, collaboration, leadership, education, evidence-based practice, quality, resource utilization, and environmental health
- Assess and admit patients
- Perform rounding checks
- Administer medications
- Communicate with family members
- Take responsibility for the overall care of patients
- Collaborate with the care team to ensure high-quality patient care
Requirements
What you’ll need- ED experience strongly preferred
- RNs with acute care floor nursing will be considered
- New graduates will be considered
- Meets and maintains requirements defined by the specialty, including ACLS, BLS, PALS, and NIHH
- RN Diploma, ADN, BSN or MSN
- RN License valid to work in the State of Virginia
- All Direct Care RNs are required to have BLS within 90 days of hire
- Clinical knowledge and skills to meet standards required by specific clinical areas
