About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Perform competent nursing care using the nursing process
- Assess, diagnose, identify outcomes, plan, implement, coordinate care, teach, promote health, and evaluate patient care
- Apply professional nursing standards including ethics, communication, collaboration, leadership, education, evidence-based practice, quality, resource utilization, and environmental health
- Assess and admit patients
- Conduct rounding checks
- Administer medications
- Communicate with family members
- Provide overall care for assigned patients
- Collaborate with the care team to ensure quality patient care
Requirements
What you’ll need- ED experience strongly preferred
- RNs with more than 1 year acute care floor nursing required if no ED experience
- ACLS, BLS, PALS, and NIHH requirements as defined by the specialty
- RN Diploma, ADN, BSN, or MSN
- RN License valid to work in the State of Virginia
- All Direct Care RNs are required to have BLS within 90 days of hire
