About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide registered nursing care on the 24-bed Medical/Surgical Cardiac Unit
  • Care for patients on telemetry monitoring
  • Assess patients to determine the next step in their care, including cardiac catheterization, transfer for heart surgery, stress testing, or echocardiography
  • Work the third shift (nights) at Sentara Careplex Hospital
  • Support care delivery in a Certified Primary Stroke Center and technologically advanced acute care facility

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Associates, Bachelors, Masters, or diploma in the Nursing Field required
  • Virginia or Compact Multi-State License in good standing
  • Basic Life Support (BLS)
  • NIH stroke scale
  • Two or more years of current acute care hospital RN experience
  • Night shift availability
  • 14-week travel assignment
