About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide radiation therapy to patients as prescribed by a Radiation Oncologist according to established practices and standards.
- Deliver external beam radiotherapy to include (3D, IMRT, SRS/SBRT)
- Deliver brachytherapy treatment
- Perform patient simulations; preparing equipment, such as immobilization, treatment, and protection devices
- Reviewing patient records for accuracy
- Acting as liaison with physician and supportive care personnel
- Maintaining patient records, reports, and files
Requirements
What you’ll need- Minimum of 3 years of experience
- Must meet 4 of the following criteria and have passed associated competencies to move from Radiation Therapist I:
- Pediatric Center: Age based competencies
- EBRT/Sim Clinical Coordinator-RTT Students: Preceptor/clinical coord Comp
- SRS/SBRT: General SRS/SBRT Comps
- Simulation Tech: General Sim Comp, IV Start Comp
- Treatment Competencies: General EBRT Comp
- Advanced Imaging: Identify/Vision RT/iCBCT/Gated CBCT/4D CBCT
- Brachy Therapist: General Brachy Comp
- Second Licensure (CT, MRI, R): Proof of second licensure
- Completion of an approved certification program prior to 2016 in lieu of Associates degree will also be considered.
- Associates Degree in Radiologic Technology REQUIRED
- ARRT Certification REQUIRED
- 3 years Radiation Therapy experience REQUIRED
