About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide radiation therapy to patients as prescribed by a Radiation Oncologist according to established practices and standards.
  • Deliver external beam radiotherapy to include (3D, IMRT, SRS/SBRT)
  • Deliver brachytherapy treatment
  • Perform patient simulations; preparing equipment, such as immobilization, treatment, and protection devices
  • Reviewing patient records for accuracy
  • Acting as liaison with physician and supportive care personnel
  • Maintaining patient records, reports, and files

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience
  • Must meet 4 of the following criteria and have passed associated competencies to move from Radiation Therapist I:
  • Pediatric Center: Age based competencies
  • EBRT/Sim Clinical Coordinator-RTT Students: Preceptor/clinical coord Comp
  • SRS/SBRT: General SRS/SBRT Comps
  • Simulation Tech: General Sim Comp, IV Start Comp
  • Treatment Competencies: General EBRT Comp
  • Advanced Imaging: Identify/Vision RT/iCBCT/Gated CBCT/4D CBCT
  • Brachy Therapist: General Brachy Comp
  • Second Licensure (CT, MRI, R): Proof of second licensure
  • Completion of an approved certification program prior to 2016 in lieu of Associates degree will also be considered.
  • Associates Degree in Radiologic Technology REQUIRED
  • ARRT Certification REQUIRED
  • 3 years Radiation Therapy experience REQUIRED
