About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Build and manage a pipeline of prospects through outbound prospecting, targeted outreach, and networking.
- Qualify inbound leads through discovery calls, aligning client needs with Sensiba's audit, tax, and consulting services.
- Develop proposals and Statements of Work with accurate scoping and pricing.
- Lead pricing discussions, negotiate terms, and close new engagements.
- Accurately maintain and update customer information and sales activities in CRM systems.
- Collaborate with audit, tax, advisory, and consulting teams to understand service offerings and position solutions appropriately.
- Ensure a smooth handoff from sales to service delivery teams to support a strong client experience.
- Apply professional accounting background to speak knowledgeably with prospects about compliance, reporting, and advisory needs.
- Stay current on trends affecting the professional services and accounting industries.
- Identify cross-sell opportunities across Sensiba's service lines.
- Conduct post-mortem reviews of closed-lost opportunities to inform future pipeline strategy.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Economics, Finance, or a related field.
- 2+ years of professional experience, including time in public accounting (audit, tax, or client accounting/advisory services).
- Demonstrated experience transitioning from an accounting role into a client-facing sales or business development position preferred.
- Experience at a public accounting firm in audit, tax, or client accounting/advisory services preferred.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Experience managing both inbound and outbound sales motions.
- Proficiency with CRM software and other sales productivity tools; Salesforce experience is a plus.
