About the role

  • Lead a global team of sourcing & procurement managers to drive excellence in procurement strategy
  • Collaborate cross-functionally across engineering, operations, and supply chain teams
  • Directs cross company collaborations to promote the lowest total cost of ownership sourcing solutions/value proposition
  • Building successful relationships internally and externally to execute strategy plans
  • Focus on mitigating supply risks and enabling growth
  • Ownership of supplier selection and sourcing decisions, in collaboration with category strategy team
  • Manage all VA/VE and cost optimization activities
  • Develop negotiation strategies and direct managers in negotiations for cost reduction initiatives
  • Support and represent Global Procurement in Business Unit (BU) meetings

Requirements

  • A university degree required (i.e. Bachelors degree) or equivalent relevant work experience
  • Ability to lead, coach, and develop team members
  • Holds self and others accountable to achieving goals and standards
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment to handle multiple competing tasks and demands
  • Strong communication skills; oral, written and presentation
  • Strong organization, planning and time management skills to achieve results
  • Strong personal and professional ethical values and integrity
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
  • Strong interpersonal & collaboration skills to work effectively with all levels of the organization including suppliers and/or external customers
