Requirements

What you’ll need

Seven (7)+ years of experience in accounting, with at least three (3) years in federal or DoD government accounting
Experience preparing and reviewing financial statements, journal entries, and account reconciliations in accordance with GAAP and federal accounting standards (FASAB)
Experience with general ledger, subsidiary ledger, and budgetary/proprietary account reconciliation
Experience preparing adjusting journal entries, including corrections to accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
Working knowledge of OMB Circular A-136 financial reporting requirements
Experience supporting financial data calls to internal and external stakeholders (e.g., DFAS, OSD, OMB)
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business with a minimum of 24 semester hours in Accounting
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Suite
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively both orally and in writing
