About the role

  • Manage environmental compliance for the Baraboo facility, including permits, reporting, tracking, training, and regulatory documentation.
  • Support quality and food safety programs in can manufacturing, ensuring compliance with GFSI standards, including HACCP, Food Safety, Food Defense, and BRC.
  • Maintain, analyze, and improve can, end, and seam specifications for all Seneca facilities using statistical principles.
  • Lead research and development initiatives, including test packs and trials for new coatings, compounds, metals, and alternative packaging materials.
  • Partner with senior management to support operational planning, continuous improvement, and problem-solving initiatives.
  • Supervise seamer and cooker specialists and provide oversight of company-wide seaming standards and documentation.
  • Serve as a technical link between can manufacturing and cannery operations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Food Science, Packaging, Chemistry, or a related science field.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently and in teams.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively across all levels of the organization.
  • Supervison experience preferred.
