About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Design and simulation of high-speed analog mixed-signal IC products from concept to manufacturing
- Work proactively with the extended team to implement new designs to specification and support existing products
- Capture and share simulation results, measurements and methodologies
- Preparation of technical reviews and product documentation
- Involvement in the lab evaluation of high-speed analog circuits
- Plan and report progress of work
Requirements
What you’ll need- Minimum BASc degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering with significant IC design content
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Design experience in high-speed CMOS and/or BiCMOS
- Good understanding of analog circuit layout best practices
- Thorough understanding of analog circuit theory, transmission lines, and device fundamentals
- Strong verbal and written communications skills
- Experience with analog CAD tools, such as Cadence Virtuoso or equivalent
- RF modelling knowledge is a plus
- Familiarity of high-speed components such as VCOs, PLLs, wide-band amplifiers and data converters is a strong asset
- Hands-on experience with high-speed lab equipment such as spectrum analyzers, network analyzers and oscilloscopes
