About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead a team of three senior bookkeepers across two sites in Germany (Hückelhoven and Deggendorf)
  • Take responsibility for and contribute to the timely preparation and submission of reporting packages under IFRS
  • Coordinate with the Shared Service Center for accounts receivable and accounts payable in Austria
  • Responsibility for and involvement in the preparation of German GAAP (HGB) annual financial statements
  • Prepare liquidity plans and cash forecasts
  • Oversee the full general ledger and fixed assets accounting
  • Post and reconcile corporate income tax, deferred taxes and withholding tax
  • Manage payment transactions
  • Ensure timely provision of requested data to tax advisors and auditors
  • Support and take on projects
  • Assume responsibility for compliance coordination for our German locations

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Completed commercial training in finance and accounting (preferably certified balance sheet accountant), alternatively or additionally university or applied sciences degree
  • Excellent knowledge of German GAAP (HGB) and IFRS is mandatory for this role
  • 3 to 5 years of professional experience in a comparable position is the basis for this role
  • Experience independently executing accounting entries (general and sub-ledgers) is essential; willingness to continue doing this is central to the position
  • Excellent MS Office skills, especially Excel
  • ERP experience (preferably SAP) is an advantage
  • Team spirit, helpfulness and confident demeanor as well as a high degree of responsibility and strong analytical skills distinguish you
  • Business fluent English and German
  • Occasional willingness to travel, mainly to our German sites
