About the role
- Build and maintain a deep understanding of the data and analytics landscape at Semperis including data sources, data and analytic assets and products, analytic tools and software, and master data
- Deploy and manage cloud data warehouse
- Perform data warehouse maintenance, optimization and configuration tuning
- Determine data design and development, including data architecture, modeling and ETL development
- Create simple, flexible, and scalable data models to meet the wide range of business needs across the organization
- Define and manage cloud data warehouse and big data technology standards, guidelines, and processes to ensure data quality
- Oversee end-to-end cloud data warehouse and big data life cycle management activities
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Engineering, or related discipline and 8+ years of professional experience
- Proven experience in data architecture, data warehouse, and/or data design
- Demonstrated experience delivering scalable data warehousing products to support operational and analytical data needs for operational systems, data science, and analytics teams
- Strong experience in designing scalable and enterprise-scale conceptual, logical, and physical data models
- Strong knowledge & implementation experience of data warehousing concepts, data modeling techniques, and industry best practices
- Demonstrated expertise in ELT patterns and processes, with a focus on scalable data pipeline development, data quality assurance, and data privacy management using modern tools such as dbt
- Proven ability to implement robust data governance frameworks and ensure compliance with privacy standards across complex data ecosystems
- Experience with Snowflake
- Experience with one of the following BI reporting tools is a plus (i.e. Tableau, Power BI, etc.)
- Solid technical and analytical skills with the ability to communicate across the organization and manage multiple priorities
