About the role

  • We are looking to add you immediately to our existing small accounting team
  • Independently manage the ongoing financial accounting (general ledger and subledgers)
  • Prepare internal monthly and annual financial statements in accordance with HGB (German GAAP) and assist in preparing the reporting packages for the group's quarterly closing
  • Post closing entries, provisions, accruals and valuations
  • Ensure correct accounting and account reconciliations
  • Responsible for VAT filings (domestic and international)
  • Coordinate with auditors, tax consultants and group finance departments
  • Serve as the point of contact for internal departments on all accounting and financial reporting issues
  • Ensure compliance with legal requirements and internal group accounting policies

Requirements

  • Completed commercial training or a degree with a focus on accounting/finance
  • Several years of professional experience as a Senior Accountant, Certified Accountant (Bilanzbuchhalter) or sole accountant
  • Solid knowledge of accounting under HGB (German GAAP) is required; knowledge of IFRS is desirable
  • Experience with group-level consolidation is desirable
  • Proficiency in DATEV and common Office applications is essential
  • Excellent German language skills at native-speaker level
