Accountant

• Execute the monthly, quarterly and year-end close process, including preparation of journal entries, reconciliations, analytics and working papers to prepare accurate financial results.
• Ensure accurate records of cash positions across all entities, currencies and accounts (Treasury).
• Prepare and review month-end and year-end working papers, including Balance Sheet reconciliation reports and functional/departmental analysis reports (Financial Analysis).
• Contribute to year-end audit efforts and assist with production of statutory accounts; prepare regulatory and tax filings in all jurisdictions (Statutory & Regulatory Compliance).
• Serve as a subject matter expert on accounting standards: research technical accounting issues, document conclusions in memos, and monitor changes in standards (Technical Accounting).
• Provide guidance and support across departments (FP&A, Tax, Operations, Legal) on accounting treatment for business initiatives, contracts, and operational changes (Leadership).
• Monitor and maintain internal control processes to ensure compliance with accounting policies and mitigate financial risks; identify opportunities for automation and process improvements.
• Maintain high proficiency in ERP and financial systems; participate in system enhancements, testing, and implementation of new features.
• Lead and optimize invoicing, payment reminders and collections processes in partnership with the Junior Accountant (Revenue Accounting - Order to Cash).
• Ensure accurate revenue recognition in accordance with accounting standards, company policy and commercial terms, supported by reconciliations, journal entries and analysis.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure billing and customer alignment and ensure revenue-related compliance requirements are prepared and filed accurately and on time, including commissions.
