About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Own the full contract lifecycle from intake through execution and post-execution management (amendments, renewals and terminations), ensuring accuracy, consistency, and timely completion
- Review, draft and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements, including vendor, services, consulting, collaboration and partnership agreements
- Serve as a trusted partner to internal business stakeholders by providing clear, practical guidance on contract structure, interpretation, and risk, while aligning contract terms with business objectives
- Lead the implementation and ongoing optimization of scalable contracting operations, including contract templates, playbooks, policies, procedures and related resources
- Partner with the Principal, Legal Affairs to support the evaluation, design, implementation and administration of a contract lifecycle management (CLM) system and related integrations
- Collaborate cross functionally ensure contracts comply with applicable laws, regulations, and internal standards, while supporting efficient business execution
- Act as a subject matter expert on contract best practices, proactively identifying risks and recommending thoughtful, business-oriented solutions
- Support corporate governance and compliance activities, including organizing and maintaining corporate records and entity books
- Assist with the development and maintenance of compliance schedules to ensure entities are in good standing with annual and ongoing requirements
Requirements
What you’ll need- 5+ years of experience managing and negotiating commercial contracts in an in-house corporate environment
- Prior in-house experience supporting a technology company, including SaaS, hardware, components or server industries preferred
- Strong working knowledge of commercial contract provisions, legal principles and contracting best practices
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple, competing priorities in a fast-paced and evolving environment with minimal supervision
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex contractual concepts clearly to non-legal stakeholders
- Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and a proven ability to identify and mitigate contractual risks
- Experience designing implementing or administering contracting processes or legal operations infrastructure
- Hands-on experience with CLM platforms and related tools, such as Docusign, Conga, Ironclad and Salesforce
- Proficiency in MS Office
- Bachelor’s degree in Pre-Law (legal studies), English, Political Science or Business Administration or equivalent /relevant work experience
