About the role
- Lead commission design sessions with leadership to support non-standard commission incentive programs and translate outputs into written incentive plans/commission program documents
- Partner with internal stakeholders to develop new and creative commission programs and plan elements that resonate with agents and align with corporate objectives
- Maintain and evolve all existing commission plan documents; compare to prior year/season and identify deltas
- Support and accurately calculate commission results for select commission programs; partner with Analytics to determine communication mechanism and execute communication plans
- Partner with Commissions Project Manager and Analytics Team to ensure commission plan designs can be supported, implemented and scaled for timely and accurate payments
- Lead Sales Manager and Regional Sales Manager commission process including target setting, maintenance of accurate manager listing, and regular data reviews ahead of payroll deadlines
- Administer commission programs and perks for select agent groups in accordance with plan design
- Develop and/or present sales-facing communications (emails, policies, presentations) outlining commission plan changes
- Identify operational efficiencies including self-service tools and drive efficiencies throughout the variable commission process
- Validate commission calculations for audit purposes; document variances and resolve calculation errors
- Complete other duties as assigned to support variable compensation and evolution of commission programs to support agent experience and company objectives
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a related field required
- 7+ years of related experience required
- Strong Microsoft excel skills
- Experience creating compelling and concise documents (i.e. Google slides or PowerPoint)
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal) including experience presenting to executive management
- Robust analytical skills required to understand the impact of commission changes and review datasets for reasonableness and commission plan compliance
- Strong business and financial acumen
- Ability to synthesize and summarize data into executive summaries
- Ability to quickly validate commissions calculations within the system for audit purposes
- Experience in influencing teams and matrix managing internal resources
- Experience reviewing data files for accuracy in comparison to variable commission plans by Position and Level
- High attention to detail
- Excellent time management skills with ability to consistently adhere to deadlines
