About the role
- Assist director of healthcare compliance with HIPAA, CMS, and other healthcare regulatory adherence
- Assess regulatory and carrier issues/complaints and patient escalations; collaborate with the pharmacy quality and compliance team
- Assist with third party vendor management including completion of assessments from carriers and partners and monitoring compliance with requirements
- Conduct complaint investigations and documentation
- Monitor third party vendor compliance
- Assist with healthcare policy development and process audits as directed by director of healthcare compliance
- Assist with audits related to Healthcare Compliance Workplan
- Monitor compliance with healthcare-specific training (HIPAA, FWA, CMS General Compliance training)
- Collaborate with other compliance areas for auditing and monitoring functions
- Assist with completion of security and third party assessments
- Manage process for communication of HIPAA disclosures and documentation
- Support director of healthcare compliance in other regulatory requirements as needed
- No direct supervisory responsibilities
- Periodic travel to other office and operational sites; prolonged periods of sitting and computer work
Requirements
- Two years’ experience minimum but four years preferred in compliance role
- Associate's degree in legal studies/paralegal business administration safety compliance or a related field
- Healthcare compliance experience preferred
- Good planning and organization skills
- Ability to adapt to a new and changing work environment
