About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Collect and review payroll-relevant data such as allowances and deductions, special payments, and travel expenses for handover to the external payroll service provider
- Independently create and manage employment contracts, contract amendments, employment references/certificates, and other HR documents
- Maintain employee master data in Workday, ensuring data is complete, up-to-date, and accurate
- Serve as the point of contact for employees and managers on payroll-related questions
- Correspond with authorities, social security agencies, and health insurance providers
- Prepare certificates, analyses, and HR reports from Workday
- Support the optimization and digitalization of HR processes
- Contribute to HR projects, such as Workday enhancements and policy development
- Advise managers and employees on HR-related matters
Requirements
What you’ll need- Completed commercial vocational training
- Ideally further training in HR (e.g., certified HR specialist / Personalfachkaufmann/-frau)
- Experience in preparatory payroll processing
- Solid knowledge of payroll tax law, social security law, and employment law
- Proficient with Workday or comparable HR systems
- Discretion, accuracy, and a structured approach to work
- Strong communication skills and the ability to explain complex topics clearly
- Initial experience with benefits administration
