About the role

  • Consultative role with clients.
  • Provide technical and consultative support, interpreting risks and advising based on security best practices.
  • Lead technical meetings and prepare reports with diagnostics and recommendations.
  • Act as a technical reference for the operation of managed security services.
  • Operate and administer the Qualys platform: scans, asset validation, vulnerability analysis and non-compliance identification.
  • Support prioritization and guidance for remediation with clients' infrastructure and development teams.
  • Produce technical and executive reports to support strategic decisions.
  • Evaluate and implement security improvements and hardening measures.
  • Analyze networks for service exposure, segmentation, traffic and protocols.
  • Investigate and respond to system and network security events.
  • Validate alerts, contain threats and support corrective actions.
  • Perform diagnostics, operate and implement security controls based on CIS Benchmarks.
  • Apply hardening practices focused on compliance and risk mitigation.
  • Monitor the evolution of control adherence and report deviations in a structured manner.
  • Develop or use scripts to automate security tasks.
  • Identify and implement improvements to repetitive processes to increase agility, scalability and accuracy.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or a related field.
  • Proven experience with the Qualys platform in corporate environments.
  • Experience with Windows, Linux and networking environments, with a focus on security and technical operations.
  • Practical knowledge of implementing and operating controls based on CIS Benchmarks.
  • Solid understanding of vulnerabilities, the vulnerability lifecycle, hardening and technical risk analysis.
  • Experience with endpoint protection tools (EDR/EPP) and incident response.
  • Strong analytical skills, technical communication and client-facing orientation.
  • Familiarity or prior experience with cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Basic scripting (Bash, Python, PowerShell).
  • Certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CEH, CySA+, ISO 27001, etc.
  • Technical English or Spanish with conversational ability for interaction with clients and vendors/manufacturers.
