About the role
- Provide legal advice to executive management and project managers on all construction law matters
- Review and draft construction contracts, service and architect agreements with public and private clients
- Contract management, including monitoring and risk assessment of ongoing contracts
- Support procurement procedures, tenders and contract negotiations
- Advise on change order/delay management and assist in preparing and defending additional claim requests
- Contribute to the design of internal processes and policies to ensure legally compliant project execution
- Monitor legal developments and derive appropriate measures for the company
- Coordinate with other legal areas and handle compliance-related topics
- Conduct internal training for technical and project staff on relevant legal topics
- Represent the company in disputes, court and arbitration proceedings
- Cooperate with external law firms, expert witnesses and authorities
Requirements
- Fully qualified lawyer with completed second state examination (Volljurist)
- Minimum of 5 years' professional experience with a focus on private and public construction law, architects’ law and infrastructure projects
- Subject-matter knowledge of VOB/B and HOAI
- Strong communication skills, analytical thinking and a solution-oriented working style
- Reliability, teamwork and commercial/business understanding
