About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Assist with field surveys across boundary, topographic, and construction survey projects
Support data reduction, digital terrain modeling, and surface creation
Prepare right-of-way plats, certified survey maps, boundary surveys, and other survey-related documents
Assist with drafting and survey computations
Collaborate with project teams while working independently in the field
Travel as needed to support project demands

Requirements

What you’ll need

Willingness and ability to work overtime as project schedules require
Strong communication skills and ability to work independently
Ability to walk and climb over rough terrain and carry up to 50 pounds
Ability to work outdoors for 8–12 hours in varying weather conditions
Ability to travel for projects, meetings, and overnight stays as needed
Experience with basic surveying procedures, including boundary and land surveys, topographic surveys, and construction staking methods using Total Stations and GPS
Experience with drafting, survey computations, and interpreting plans and easement descriptions
Field experience using Trimble survey equipment
Working knowledge of AutoCAD
Working knowledge of Trimble Business Center
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, etc.)
Valid driver’s license and driving record meeting SEH’s Driving Program requirements
Must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. without requiring visa sponsorship now or in the future
