About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Assist with field surveys across boundary, topographic, and construction survey projects
  • Support data reduction, digital terrain modeling, and surface creation
  • Prepare right-of-way plats, certified survey maps, boundary surveys, and other survey-related documents
  • Assist with drafting and survey computations
  • Collaborate with project teams while working independently in the field
  • Travel as needed to support project demands

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Willingness and ability to work overtime as project schedules require
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work independently
  • Ability to walk and climb over rough terrain and carry up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to work outdoors for 8–12 hours in varying weather conditions
  • Ability to travel for projects, meetings, and overnight stays as needed
  • Experience with basic surveying procedures, including boundary and land surveys, topographic surveys, and construction staking methods using Total Stations and GPS
  • Experience with drafting, survey computations, and interpreting plans and easement descriptions
  • Field experience using Trimble survey equipment
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD
  • Working knowledge of Trimble Business Center
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, etc.)
  • Valid driver’s license and driving record meeting SEH’s Driving Program requirements
  • Must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. without requiring visa sponsorship now or in the future
