About the role
- Perform accounts payable and accounts receivable processes with attention to detail and complex accounting system structures
- Assist in workpaper preparation for annual audit; prepare worksheets and provide information for internal and external audits
- Process invoices and reimbursement requests ensuring receipts, authorizations, and policy compliance
- Ensure donations are processed in keeping with established procedures and audit requirements
- Provide initial review and approval of field-engaged journals; perform monthly and annual entries, adjustments, and reconciliations
- Attend and participate in meetings and task forces; lead or participate in organization-wide projects
- Ideally three days weekly in the Arlington office; remote work possible for highly qualified applicants
Requirements

- Two-year college education in Accounting, Finance or Business (or equivalent)
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in Accounting
- Knowledge of accounting software
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
