Agile Organization Lead Software Development
SEEBURGERAgile Organization Lead responsible for managing a scaled agile organization and software development processes. Collaborating with teams to ensure a smooth data flow and agile transformation at SEEBURGER.
About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Responsible for the operational leadership of a scaled agile organization ("Value Stream Organization", typically around 6–12 teams depending on setup or currently being established)
- Together with the Business Lead and Lead Architects accountable for software development processes, organizational leadership and coordination of people-management tasks
- Preparation and facilitation of agile ceremonies at the scaled level:
- Iteration planning
- Regular alignment and course corrections during the iteration
- Refinement of the overall product backlog
- Review of results with stakeholders
- Retrospective of the agile organization
- Routine identification, prioritization and active resolution of impediments
- Ensure effective collaboration between roles, teams and stakeholders and promote a constructive feedback culture
- Lead the Agile Masters within the agile organization
- Responsible for the continuous improvement process
- Participate in the global agile community and support SEEBURGER’s agile transformation
Requirements
What you’ll need- Ideally 2–3 years of experience as Chief Agile Master / Chief Scrum Master / Release Train Engineer or similar, responsible for a scaled agile setup with at least 5 teams
- Alternatively, at least 5 years of experience as an Agile Master / Scrum Master and ready for the next step; experience in a scaled agile environment with at least 5 teams is required
- Several years of experience in people management and organizational development, at least at team level
- Experience in theory and practice of agile scaling frameworks such as LeSS, Nexus, SAFe; ideally in a leadership role at the scaling level
- Education or background in software development is desirable, but at minimum 5 years of active experience in the software business
- Fluent in German and English (verbal and written)
- Strong senior presence (at least 10 years of professional experience overall)
- High competence in facilitation, mediation and conflict resolution
- Positive attitude and strong alignment with agile values and principles
- High initiative and proactivity
