About the role

  • To become a member of the Expert Bill Review team and work with insurance defense attorneys
  • Leverage legal expertise to apply customer tailored billing guidelines
  • Align each review with the customer’s goals and objectives
  • Apply and evaluate uniquely tailored legal spend management protocols
  • Consult with customers to design and/or enhance legal spend management guidelines and strategies
  • Communicate with law firms to discuss billing compliance inquiries
  • Manage legal invoice volume and workflow in accordance with customized customer standards
  • Use proprietary Legal Spend Management platforms to implement and manage workflows and data collection
  • Build strong customer relationships by providing mission critical value to partners’ success

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in law from an accredited university (LL. B)
  • Licensed lawyer preferred but non practicing status accepted
  • Five (5) years of related experience in insurance defense litigation, insurance claims, litigation or legal spend management or equivalent combination of education and experience required
  • Bilingual French/English strongly preferred
  • Knowledge of insurance, claims or business management
  • Excellent oral and written communication, including presentation skills
  • PC literate, including Microsoft Office products and Excel, PowerPoint
  • Analytical and interpretive skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Excellent negotiation skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment
