About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Shape the future of Sedex's product and services during an 8-month maternity cover
- Work closely with senior members of Product, Design and Engineering
- Embed strong ways of working with colleagues across Sedex
- Provide guidance and mentorship across the wider Product organisation
- Define a clear strategy and vision for a significant area of the product portfolio
- Deliver measurable long- and short-term results for users and the business
- Contribute to overarching Product strategy and operations as part of the Product leadership group
- Develop and adapt the vision for a core product area, ensuring stakeholder collaboration and buy-in
- Define, refine and prioritise product opportunities and user needs
- Translate user and business requirements into actionable objectives and clear goals
- Identify product improvements using data, user insights and market understanding
- Explore innovative approaches, including AI, to solve customer problems and enhance user value
- Contribute to and champion the overall product vision and guardrails
- Develop, implement, promote and adapt best-practice Product processes
- Collaborate with Design, Engineering, Commercial and other business functions to ensure alignment and high-quality delivery
- Support the evolution of Product operations and ways of working
Requirements
What you’ll need- Experienced Principal Product Manager
- Track record of producing business results using robust Product principles and approaches
- Strong practical experience across discovery, portfolio prioritisation, ideation, solution design, iterative development and go-to-market
- Significant experience in proposition Product development
- Strong understanding of how Product aligns with commercial objectives, including developing plans and business cases that demonstrate ROI
- Strong understanding of effective collaboration with technology and design functions to drive high-quality outcomes
- Experience influencing and engaging senior stakeholders
- Collaborative approach to working with cross-functional disciplines and stakeholders
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to give and receive constructive feedback, with a clear desire to learn from others
- Strong time management and workload prioritisation skills
