About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Shape the future of Sedex's product and services during an 8-month maternity cover
  • Work closely with senior members of Product, Design and Engineering
  • Embed strong ways of working with colleagues across Sedex
  • Provide guidance and mentorship across the wider Product organisation
  • Define a clear strategy and vision for a significant area of the product portfolio
  • Deliver measurable long- and short-term results for users and the business
  • Contribute to overarching Product strategy and operations as part of the Product leadership group
  • Develop and adapt the vision for a core product area, ensuring stakeholder collaboration and buy-in
  • Define, refine and prioritise product opportunities and user needs
  • Translate user and business requirements into actionable objectives and clear goals
  • Identify product improvements using data, user insights and market understanding
  • Explore innovative approaches, including AI, to solve customer problems and enhance user value
  • Contribute to and champion the overall product vision and guardrails
  • Develop, implement, promote and adapt best-practice Product processes
  • Collaborate with Design, Engineering, Commercial and other business functions to ensure alignment and high-quality delivery
  • Support the evolution of Product operations and ways of working

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Experienced Principal Product Manager
  • Track record of producing business results using robust Product principles and approaches
  • Strong practical experience across discovery, portfolio prioritisation, ideation, solution design, iterative development and go-to-market
  • Significant experience in proposition Product development
  • Strong understanding of how Product aligns with commercial objectives, including developing plans and business cases that demonstrate ROI
  • Strong understanding of effective collaboration with technology and design functions to drive high-quality outcomes
  • Experience influencing and engaging senior stakeholders
  • Collaborative approach to working with cross-functional disciplines and stakeholders
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to give and receive constructive feedback, with a clear desire to learn from others
  • Strong time management and workload prioritisation skills
