About the role

  • Creates a compelling product vision.
  • In collaboration with Operations and market leadership, develops and executes a product roadmap with a focus on measurable outcomes.
  • Cultivates and maintains an effective relationship with all stakeholders while regularly sharing the vision, roadmaps and progress.
  • Actively engage with the stakeholders to elicit, consider and document the needs and constraints to align with organizational strategy and priorities.
  • Collaborates with stakeholders and the team to discover, analyze and document the business requirements into Process Definition Documents (PDD).
  • Engages and collaborates with the team and stakeholders to create and manage Agile artifacts (e.g. Product Roadmap, Backlog, Release Plan) and information needed for prioritization decision-making and regularly assesses features and costs to determine whether and when to proceed.
  • Defines Product KPIs, monitors and reports on metrics/outcomes.
  • Drives day-to-day product management decisions by prioritizing and maintaining the sprint backlog for assigned products, balancing the requirements of stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Strategic thinker, resilient, analytical and results driven.
  • Leadership skills to gain credibility, garner respect, guide the creation of a self-organizing team and be assertive with business priorities and opposing viewpoints while adhering to Agile concepts and principles.
  • Working knowledge of Agile practices.
  • Understands the fundamentals of iterative development, incremental delivery, backlog management, burndown metrics, velocity, and task definition.
  • Strong communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills to connect and engage team, facilitate discussion, advocate for team, and negotiate with business/corporate areas, mentor/coach team members, and resolve conflict.
  • Solid analytical skills, creative problem-solving skills, and high attention to detail.
  • Ability to work with minimal direction, flexibility to adapt to shifting priorities and schedules, handle multiple issues simultaneously, and to manage stressful situations.
  • Strong knowledge of technical concepts, architectural principles to drive scalable solutions.
  • Know how to influence teams to deliver great customer experience without authority.
  • 1-3 years’ experience as a product owner with the ability to demonstrate realized business value and outcomes, or experience in helping product owners do the same.
