About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Hold ultimate tactical responsibility for the SOC's technical quality, including operational quality assurance of ticket handling, management of major security incidents, and ensuring smooth operational continuity across all shifts.
  • Serve as the primary operational point of contact for clients, manage escalations, monitor execution of contractual scope, and represent the SOC in routine client meetings and Quarterly Business Review (QBR) presentations.
  • Operationalize tracking of team resource utilization and workload metrics.
  • Liaise with the engineering department to translate operational gaps into a clear, prioritized roadmap for detection content and SOAR automation.
  • Identify and execute opportunities to optimize operations.
  • Manage the development lifecycle for analysts, incident responders, and team leads, including regular one-on-one meetings, drafting formal annual performance reviews, and participating in the hiring and selection process.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 4+ years of progressive SOC experience with a strong emphasis on intrusion analysis and complex security investigations.
  • 3+ years of experience gathering requirements and interacting directly with enterprise clients in an MSSP or professional services environment.
  • Deep familiarity with SIEM content development logic, EDR tools, and SOAR playbooks.
  • Full professional proficiency in English, both written and spoken, due to regular interactions with clients/partners outside Quebec and the company's international responsibilities.
  • University degree at the undergraduate or graduate level in IT or engineering, with a concentration in networking, information security, or software development.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English are required.
  • Specialized cybersecurity certifications are highly valued, such as SANS/GIAC, GCIA, ISC2, ITIL, or CISSP.
