About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support the further development of the risk strategy and the risk management system
- Prepare regular risk reports for the Executive Board, Supervisory Board and regulatory authorities
- Assess the company’s risk-bearing capacity and derive recommendations for action
- Identify and assess risks in processes, projects and strategic initiatives
- Develop risk mitigation measures and support their implementation
- Participate in outsourcing/third-party risk management, risk analyses and coordination with auditors and regulators
- Support internal and external audits in the area of risk
- Raise employee awareness for risk-conscious behavior and support the further development of internal standards
- Document risks, measures and audit findings and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
- Communicate with external auditors and supervisory authorities and prepare required documentation
Requirements
What you’ll need- At least two years of experience in risk management within the financial sector
- Experience in payments and knowledge of regulatory requirements (e.g., MaRisk, ZAG, DORA)
- Analytical and strategic thinking and a solution-oriented working style
- Clear communication, teamwork and a willingness to take responsibility
- Enjoyment of complex tasks and a proactive, self-driven approach
- Business-fluent German and good English skills
- Experience with Jira, Jira Service Management and Confluence
- SQL skills for data analysis
