About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support the further development of the risk strategy and the risk management system
  • Prepare regular risk reports for the Executive Board, Supervisory Board and regulatory authorities
  • Assess the company’s risk-bearing capacity and derive recommendations for action
  • Identify and assess risks in processes, projects and strategic initiatives
  • Develop risk mitigation measures and support their implementation
  • Participate in outsourcing/third-party risk management, risk analyses and coordination with auditors and regulators
  • Support internal and external audits in the area of risk
  • Raise employee awareness for risk-conscious behavior and support the further development of internal standards
  • Document risks, measures and audit findings and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Communicate with external auditors and supervisory authorities and prepare required documentation

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • At least two years of experience in risk management within the financial sector
  • Experience in payments and knowledge of regulatory requirements (e.g., MaRisk, ZAG, DORA)
  • Analytical and strategic thinking and a solution-oriented working style
  • Clear communication, teamwork and a willingness to take responsibility
  • Enjoyment of complex tasks and a proactive, self-driven approach
  • Business-fluent German and good English skills
  • Experience with Jira, Jira Service Management and Confluence
  • SQL skills for data analysis
