About the role
- Supporting the team in detecting, analyzing, and mitigating cyber attacks
- Guiding clients in the implementation and operation of cyber-attack detection solutions
- Gathering and analyzing objectives and requirements for building a SOC/CDC
- Developing operational concepts, role/permissions models, and SOC/CDC processes
- Designing, architecting, and implementing software solutions for detection, response, and mitigation of cyber attacks
- Developing, implementing, and optimizing detection mechanisms
- Mentoring colleagues with less professional experience
- Leading projects and teams on larger client engagements
Requirements
- At least vocational training in an IT profession OR a bachelor’s degree in computer science
- A solid foundation across core IT areas (networking, operating systems, and basic scripting)
- Excellent German and English language skills, written and spoken
- Willingness to travel (currently 90% of our projects are remote)
- Analytical, structured, and independent approach to work and problem solving
- Strong customer- and service-orientation and willingness to take responsibility within the team
- Entrepreneurial mindset and approach
- Ideally, initial exposure to and knowledge of one or more of the following product areas: SIEM (e.g., Elastic SIEM, Microsoft Sentinel, Splunk Enterprise Security, QRadar); EDR (e.g., Microsoft Defender for Endpoint, Elastic Defend, CrowdStrike Falcon); NDR (e.g., Corelight, Vectra AI, Darktrace); SOAR (e.g., Swimlane, Palo Alto XSOAR, Microsoft Sentinel); THOR APT Scanner
