About the role
- Launch products with defined MVPs within 12 months, achieving adoption and revenue targets (e.g., % of units enrolled) validated through customer discovery and pilot testing.
- Define and achieve product-market fit milestones, including target user adoption rates, NPS ≥ 55 from residents and property managers, and qualitative evidence (via user interviews) that the product is "must-have" rather than "nice-to-have."
- Drive reliability and success rates to target thresholds (e.g., reduction in failed ACH transactions, NSF incidents, or chargeback rates by a target %), maintaining or improving resident and property manager satisfaction scores (CSAT/NPS).
- Build a discovery and experimentation process that produces at least two validated product hypotheses per quarter through user research, prototypes, and controlled A/B tests, informing roadmap prioritization and reducing execution risk.
- Conduct ongoing discovery with residents, property managers, and internal teams to understand pain points, workflows, and unmet needs.
- Synthesize research, user feedback, and market data to build a compelling product narrative and business case for each new initiative; communicate findings clearly to leadership and cross-functional teams.
- Develop and test multiple product hypotheses via wireframes, prototypes, and early-stage pilots; manage the learning cycle to rapidly converge on product-market fit while knowing when to pivot.
- Define product strategy and a rolling 12 month roadmap, translating business objectives into clear, outcome-focused quarterly OKRs and a prioritized backlog.
- Write concise, unambiguous product specs and collaborate with Engineering and Design to deliver features on schedule, on scope, and at quality standards.
- Monitor execution progress against roadmap, celebrate wins, identify blockers early, and pivot quickly when signals indicate a change of direction is needed.
- Own core technical flows and user experiences.
- Collaborate with Engineering on integrations with service providers and banking partners, defining APIs, data schemas, and integration specifications that enable scalability and reduce technical debt.
- Partner with Legal, Security, and Compliance teams to ensure products adhere to all relevant regulations governing payments, deposits, and fee collection.
- Build risk and fraud mitigation into product design, balancing security and regulatory requirements with a frictionless resident and property manager experience.
- Collaborate with GTM, Sales, and Customer Success to develop positioning, pricing, and rollout strategies that drive adoption among property managers and residents. Work closely with Sales to identify early pilots and customer advocates.
- Monitor product performance against KPIs and use insights to inform backlog prioritization and optimization efforts. Establish dashboards visible to leadership.
- Build alignment across stakeholders on priorities, trade-offs, and investment decisions through clear communication and data-driven advocacy. Escalate conflicts or constraints to leadership promptly.
- Conduct competitive and market analysis to stay informed of emerging Fintech solutions, identifying differentiation opportunities and product gaps.

- Strong user empathy and ability to work closely with customers and frontline teams to translate insights into exceptional product experiences. Comfortable spending time with users and gathering qualitative feedback.
- Familiarity with the payments regulatory landscape, including NACHA, PCI DSS, and relevant state/federal regulations;
- Proven ability to define outcome-focused roadmaps, establish and monitor success metrics, and make data-driven prioritization decisions with incomplete information.
- Track record of influencing and aligning cross-functional partners (Engineering, Design, Ops, Finance) and external partners (PSPs, banking partners, regulators).
