About the role

  • Provide expert consultation and support to our clients on all data protection legal matters, in particular GDPR, BDSG and TDDDG
  • Support the creation, operation and continuous development of data protection management systems (DPMS) and data protection governance structures
  • Guide clients in implementing key data protection requirements, in particular: records of processing activities (RoPA)
  • Technical and organizational measures (TOMs)
  • Data processing agreements (DPAs)
  • Data protection policies and internal processes
  • Advise on designing privacy-compliant business processes and organizational structures
  • Conduct data protection assessments, gap analyses and maturity evaluations, predominantly remotely and on-site when necessary
  • Serve as an external data protection advisor for selected clients
  • Support clients in using the Digital Compliance Office (DCO) and translate legal requirements into efficient, automated workflows
  • Actively contribute to shaping and improving our privacy modules in the DCO (e.g. content, templates, workflows, automations)
  • Work closely with Customer Success, Product and expert teams to ensure high service quality and continuous product improvement

Requirements

  • University degree in law, business, IT or an equivalent qualification gained through relevant professional experience
  • Several years of practical experience in data protection, ideally with a focus on GDPR
  • Experience advising clients, e.g. as an external data protection officer, consultant or in an in-house privacy role
  • Solid understanding of data protection governance, DPMS structures and operational GDPR implementation
  • Relevant certifications (e.g. Data Protection Officer, GDPR Practitioner, CIPP/E) are a plus but not required
  • Very good knowledge of the GDPR; basic knowledge of related regulations (e.g. TDDDG, AI Act) is an advantage
  • Very good German (at least C1) and good English – confident in client meetings and written communication
  • Strong IT affinity and a structured approach to work; experience with tools such as Confluence, HubSpot or Jira is advantageous
  • Independent, reliable and solution-oriented working style in a SaaS- and process-driven environment
  • Excellent communication skills, customer orientation and true team spirit
