About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide safe, family-centered patient care
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care using the Nursing Care Process
- Collaborate with patients, patients’ families, significant others, and members of the health care team
- Provide supervision and delegation of tasks to Nurse Technicians, Licensed Practical Nurses, Certified Medical Assistants, Certified Nursing Assistants, and others as defined by the State Administrative Code
- Incorporate Continuous Performance Improvement, Value Based Behaviors, Error Prevention, Patient Safety, Workforce Community and Connection, and other strategic initiatives into daily work
Requirements
What you’ll need- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- Prior pediatric-related health care or specific nursing-area experience may be required for specific departments
- Current Washington State RN License, or another current state license required for the RN’s work location
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers required at time of hire unless the incumbent possesses appropriate practice-area life support education
- PEARS or PALS accepted in lieu of BLS for Healthcare Providers
- ACLS is not accepted as a substitute
- Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Nursing
- Preferred: Ambulatory pediatric cardiology experience
- Preferred: Pediatric health care nursing experience
