About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide safe, family-centered patient care
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care using the Nursing Care Process
- Collaborate with patients, families, significant others, and members of the health care team
- Supervise and delegate tasks to Nurse Technicians, Licensed Practical Nurses, Certified Medical Assistants, Certified Nursing Assistants, and others as defined by the State Administrative Code
- Incorporate strategic initiatives such as Continuous Performance Improvement, Value Based Behaviors, Error Prevention, Patient Safety, and Workforce Community and Connection into daily work
- Function within the applicable State and ANA scopes and Seattle Children’s policies, procedures, and care guidelines
Requirements
What you’ll need- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- Prior experience in a pediatric-related health care setting or specific nursing area may be required for specific departments
- Current Washington State RN License, or another current state license required for the role
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers required at time of hire, unless qualifying practice-area life support education is held
- PEARS or PALS accepted in lieu of BLS; ACLS is not accepted as a substitute
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing preferred
- Pediatric health care nursing experience preferred
