About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Performing a variety of patient care support tasks
- Acting as a liaison between patients, families and the RN and provider teams
- Answering high volume phone lines including prioritizing, screening, and routing calls
- Gathering and documenting appropriate information
- Supporting prior authorizations for medication and supplies
- Managing customer flow by answering questions, resolving conflicts, and notifying appropriate staff of issues
- Providing research and follow-up
Requirements
What you’ll need- High school diploma or equivalent experience
- Minimum three years of related experience in the areas of customer service, patient support, and/or office management
- Preferred Bachelor's degree
- Healthcare/ medical back office experience
