About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Performing a variety of patient care support tasks
  • Acting as a liaison between patients, families and the RN and provider teams
  • Answering high volume phone lines including prioritizing, screening, and routing calls
  • Gathering and documenting appropriate information
  • Supporting prior authorizations for medication and supplies
  • Managing customer flow by answering questions, resolving conflicts, and notifying appropriate staff of issues
  • Providing research and follow-up

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High school diploma or equivalent experience
  • Minimum three years of related experience in the areas of customer service, patient support, and/or office management
  • Preferred Bachelor's degree
  • Healthcare/ medical back office experience
