About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Manage a diverse panel of patients presenting with a broad range of ENT pathologies affecting the head and neck.
  • Work alongside world-renowned attending surgeons to coordinate care for children with complex medical conditions and specialized surgical needs.
  • Maintain proficiency in interpreting diagnostic imaging and performing specialized procedures, including binocular microscopy, foreign body removal, and cauterization.
  • Contribute to departmental Quality Improvement (QI) projects and organizational performance initiatives.
  • Participate in meaningful research efforts and provide essential education to patients, families, and the broader healthcare team.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Master's degree in nursing with a concentration in a pediatric or family nurse practitioner program OR graduate of a nationally accredited physician assistant program.
  • One year work experience in a pediatric or family focused clinical area.
  • For Nurse Practitioners: Active, unencumbered registered nurse and advanced registered nurse practitioner licensure in the State of Washington.
  • Current national certification as a pediatric or family nurse practitioner
  • For Physician Assistants: Active, unencumbered physician assistant licensure in the State of Washington
  • Initial certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants
  • Active Drug Enforcement Authority registration
  • Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Professionals is required at time of hire and to be maintained continuously throughout employment.
  • American Heart Association Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) will also be accepted in lieu of BLS for Healthcare Professionals.
  • Active clinical privileges as an Allied Health Provider at Seattle Children's Hospital must be secured prior to time of hire and must be maintained in good standing and in compliance with all medical staff bylaws, continuously throughout employment.
