About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Work within the Kaushansky laboratory at the Center for Global Infectious Disease Research
Split time between lab management responsibilities and engaging in malaria infection projects
Plan and conduct experiments in both in vitro and in vivo systems
Evaluate, select and apply standardized scientific procedures and techniques
Assist in preparation of reports, manuscripts, presentations and grant proposals
Present results/papers at technical meetings
Potentially train/mentor junior staff.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s Degree in an engineering or scientific discipline
Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in a related area/laboratory setting
Significant experience conducting research in area of specialization
Some experience with laboratory management.
