About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Work within the Kaushansky laboratory at the Center for Global Infectious Disease Research
- Split time between lab management responsibilities and engaging in malaria infection projects
- Plan and conduct experiments in both in vitro and in vivo systems
- Evaluate, select and apply standardized scientific procedures and techniques
- Assist in preparation of reports, manuscripts, presentations and grant proposals
- Present results/papers at technical meetings
- Potentially train/mentor junior staff.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s Degree in an engineering or scientific discipline
- Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in a related area/laboratory setting
- Significant experience conducting research in area of specialization
- Some experience with laboratory management.
