About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Work within the Kaushansky laboratory at the Center for Global Infectious Disease Research
  • Split time between lab management responsibilities and engaging in malaria infection projects
  • Plan and conduct experiments in both in vitro and in vivo systems
  • Evaluate, select and apply standardized scientific procedures and techniques
  • Assist in preparation of reports, manuscripts, presentations and grant proposals
  • Present results/papers at technical meetings
  • Potentially train/mentor junior staff.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s Degree in an engineering or scientific discipline
  • Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in a related area/laboratory setting
  • Significant experience conducting research in area of specialization
  • Some experience with laboratory management.
