About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Generate and issue customer invoices accurately and on schedule
- Review billing data for completeness and resolve discrepancies before processing
- Maintain billing records
- Monitor aging reports and support collections efforts as needed
- Respond to internal and external billing and account-status inquiries
- Collaborate with Project Controllers to ensure correct billable information
- Assist with month-end closing activities related to revenue and billing
- Identify process improvement opportunities and help implement best practices
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or equivalent experience
- Associate’s degree with two years’ work experience accepted
- Strong understanding of billing workflows, invoicing, and basic accounting principles
- Experience with Cost Point Deltek preferred, but not required
- Excellent attention to detail and high level of accuracy
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Intermediate Excel skills; VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, and data validation helpful
- Flexible availability outside of standard working hours
- Must be eligible to be employed in the United States on federally contracted projects
