Engage during the development of new reader and writer technologies, including Heat-Assisted Magnetic Recording (HAMR)
Integrate those technologies into the factory and bring to volume production readiness
May specialize in a specific discipline (lithography, vacuum, plate, CMP, metrology, configuration/product support) within the new process launch space
Interact with levels of personnel from Directors to Technicians and Operators
Communicate well to foster strong relationships and common understanding
Develop and deliver tactical direction on critical issues
Prepare and present documented results to a variety of audiences
Demonstrate good judgment related to technical and business impacts of process change recommendations
Design experiments in a way that generates meaningful and accurate results
Actively contribute to daily troubleshooting of material, manufacturing process and product design issues
Develop skills in Machine Learning, Generative AI, and Data Science
Support and Develop Automation with Training using Microsoft Power Automate, Python, and OCAPs

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field such as Physics Chemistry, Material Science, etc. and 8+ years of experience
Master's degree in Engineering or related field such as Physics Chemistry, Material Science, etc. and 6+ years of experience
PhD and 3+ years of experience or equivalent education and experience
Strong written and verbal communication skills so as to convey complex and technical subject matter to a variety of audiences
Capability to work in a clean room environment and sometimes be on-call to support off-shift issues
Demonstrable ability to apply design of experiments and statistical process control techniques
Ability to travel to international manufacturing sites on an occasional basis
