About the role

  • Work on a variety of projects including silicon development and design / verification of power distribution systems
  • Participate in silicon development activities centering on specification, design and validation of full custom integrated power electronics
  • Conduct behavioral level modeling and design to help guide vendor efforts
  • Work closely with other functional teams to integrate silicon into Seagate end products
  • Own voltage budgeting to ensure critical voltage constraints will be satisfied in volume production
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify requirements and generate system level models
  • Perform simulations to highlight issues and areas for improvement

Requirements

  • Electronics development with mixed signal background
  • Voltage regulators
  • Op-amp circuits
  • Transconductance loops
  • D/A and A/D converters
  • Spice circuit modeling
  • Using behavioral Spice constructs
  • Comprehensive documentation and presentations using Microsoft tool suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering with 5-8 years of experience, or Master’s degree with 2-4 years of experience, or PHD with 0-2 years of experience
