About the role

  • Design, test, and integrate solutions for read/write, servo, and firmware subsystems, including hardware initialization, troubleshooting, and performance characterization
  • Collaborate with design engineering, controller firmware, process engineering, and high-volume manufacturing teams to support new product launches
  • Engage with various engineering and manufacturing teams across the company, taking on roles such as technology planning, integration, and product launching at volume sites

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled as a 3rd or 4th year student pursuing a bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or Computer Science
  • Demonstrated ability to solve complex engineering challenges and develop effective technical solutions
  • Strong hands-on skills with the ability to identify and debug firmware issues, analyze root causes, and drive corrective actions
  • Excellent collaboration, communication, and technical leadership abilities
  • Proficiency in Python and C programming languages
  • Familiarity with source code management systems such as Perforce
  • Ability to be innovative and deliver results under pressure
