About the role
- Responsible for the overall performance, reliability, and continuous improvement of polishing equipment used in manufacturing operations.
- Leads equipment engineering activities, manages preventive and corrective maintenance, drives yield and uptime improvements.
- Ensures equipment readiness to meet production, quality, and safety requirements.
- Manages polishing equipment across installation, qualification, operation, and lifecycle support.
- Monitors equipment KPIs (e.g., uptime, MTBF, MTTR, defects) and drives reliability improvements.
- Partners with Process, Quality, and Production teams to support NPI and process changes.
- Leads continuous improvement initiatives and supports DOE and process optimization.
- Manages equipment vendors, spare parts strategy, and capital equipment projects.
Requirements
- Minimum 8 to 10 years of experience in equipment engineering within a manufacturing environment.
- At least 3 to 5 years in a leadership or managerial role managing engineers/technicians.
- Excellent hands-on experience with polishing equipment (e.g., CMP, glass polishing, precision polishing, or similar).
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.
- Master’s degree is an advantage.
