About the role
- Be responsible for development and deployment of Wafer Processing equipment for manufacturing
- Use scientific knowledge and formal systems to find practical solutions to daily problems
- Oversee the installation, modification, upgrade, and maintenance of manufacturing equipment
- Maintain current records on equipment manufacturers’ technical notices, upgrades, and safety issues
- Evaluate equipment performance and reliability and take appropriate action
- Establish programs and solutions for increasing uptime and for equipment problems that affect the manufacturing process
- Provide technical support to the manufacturing equipment repair and process engineering organizations
- Develop primary or secondary tool data collection through the implementation of software integration to improve tool performance (SQL / Python / R / .NET / AI)
- Implement equipment control strategies using factory automation to improve equipment performance metrics
- Work on-site at our Bloomington, MN facility
Requirements
- Demonstrated experience in wafer manufacturing and semiconductor production equipment
- Experience with statistical analytic tools, Six Sigma, JMP or Minitab or other statistical software
- Demonstrated experience with Photolithography, Electromagnetic Plating, Metrology, or Inspection equipment
- Experience in computer hardware and/ or programming
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering related field (i.e. Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical, Computer Engineering, Materials, Physics, or Information Technology) and 2+ years of experience or master’s degree in the same and 0+ years’ experience or PhD and 0+ years’ experience or equivalent experience and education
