About the role
- Work closely with PMs and engineering stakeholders to design and implement web-based project workflows and communications via web pages and dashboards.
- Interview stakeholders to define requirements.
- Document requirements and proposed solutions and review with team members and stakeholders as part of acceptance criteria.
- Identify opportunities for automation.
- Use technologies within the Seagate IT infrastructure such as (but not limited to) SharePoint, O365, Lucid Chart, Jira, Smartsheet, Power Automate, and Tableau.
- Work with our partners and stakeholders, within R&PD and in other business functions, through services and activities including: Efficiency improvements including data/workflow automation, budget/spend tracking tools, and lean process improvements.
- Data analysis and visualization, presenting complex quantitative data as meaningful information, using tools like Alteryx and Tableau.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering related field (i.e., Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical, Computer Engineering, Materials, Physics, or Information Technology)
- Business, Communications, Engineering Management and 8+ years of experience or master’s degree in the same and 6+ years’ experience or PhD and 3+ years’ experience or equivalent experience and education.
- Visual design and presentation skills.
- Proven ability to document requirements and work with stakeholders to refine and get approval.
- Aptitude for learning and using low-code applications and workflows.
- Demonstrated experience with spreadsheets (e.g., Excel, Smartsheet)
- Projects automating data flows, workflows, single-source, communications, or other repeatable tasks and information.
- Demonstrated experience with low-code applications and workflows.
- Familiarity or aptitude with project management tools like Smartsheet, Jira, Microsoft Planner or Power Automate.
